Another happy holiday.

So every year, the weekend after Thanksgiving, Michael and I go to buy our tree. We have started to visit the center of Mansfield for just this event and purchase from the local boy scout troop. They have a nice selection, their trees are super fresh, and they don't charge a kidney. It is a once a year expenditure though so I don't mind spending 35 if it's going to last us a full month and a half. Which it does, by the way. I also don't like turning off the lights at all. So we go, this year, and we run into one of my students. One of the quiet, non-conversational students. I was so uncomfortable I bought the first tree I saw and got the heck out of there. lol. The funny part is that the father said that the kid should "get the money before he cuts the tree" 25 seconds after I introduced myself. What does he think a teacher can't afford a Christmas tree? Whatever.

So it's up and decorated and beautiful. I spent Black Friday power shopping, which is something I rarely do, and managed to get all but a few gifts. I am not yet satisfied with Michael's haul, and I still have the baskets to put away for his family. All in all, I'm determined not to let the tasks of the holidays stress me out.

As it is, I'm getting chest pains from the other junk that's going on in my life right now. Sigh.
